History
We are the third family to own and operate Gourmet world. Originally called Gourmet Foods, the shop was located in downtown Sudbury in the Shopping Center in the early 1970's. In the late 1990's, the business changed hands to a second family, moved to the south end of Sudbury into the Cedar Point Plaza and was renamed Gourmet World. In 2016, the Scherzinger family took over ownership and expanded the bakery.
Staff
Jasmine, a red seal Pastry Chef, is the head pastry chef and runs the bakery. Mary-Ann, Alyssa and Sharon are the pastry chefs who work with Jasmine to create the cookies, cakes, pastries, chocolates and specialty bakery items that are available in the shop and for custom order.

Milo, Sharon, Sue and Isabelle work the front serving customers, making soups and sandwiches for the cafe and takeout, preparing the specialty frozen meal items and ordering the imported products from Germany, the UK, Poland, the Netherlands, Croatia, Finland, France, South Africa, Hungary and more!
